August favorites

shu uemura, estee lauder, tarte cosmetics

August is over which means that autumn is coming. September always makes me happy. I love autumn and I’m not afraid to say it. I think it’s the most beautiful season of them all. Together with September come my August favorites. As you may guess, I don’t have a lot of them. I’m a little hard to impress lately 🙂

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Micro Cleansing Foam ($25.50)

Quite a long name for this product. I have this in the travel size version which was enough to make up my mind about it. About this product, do you know the feeling you get when you’ve just exfoliated your face? And it’s so soft to the touch? This is what I feel after I use this product. At first, I wasn’t even sure it’s from this cleanser, because I’ve never tried a cleanser that can make my face that soft. I’m seriously considering of purchasing the full size, as I found that I can skip my weekly exfoliation if I just use this.

Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler ($12.99)

I wanted to try this for so long, so it had to be in my favorites. Everyone raves about Shu Uemura’s eyelash curler. After getting a lash lift, I knew that life won’t ever be the same. I didn’t want to repeat the process because, although my lashes were perfectly curled, I’ve lost a lot of them in the next 2 months post procedure. So I bought the Shu Uemura eyeslash curler and a bottle of castor oil and I’m happy. My eyelashes are curled for days after I use this little Shu Uemura tool.

Tarte High Performance Naturals palette

I received this from my friend Alexantza and I’ve used it pretty much every day. The colors in this are simply beautiful, they’re pigmented, easy to blend and last well. I love this palette a lot! Check a snap of it here.

My new pixie haircut

Everyone should try a pixie cut once in their life. This is the thought I went in with at the salon to get a pixie cut. I didn’t feel brave, I just felt exhausted of all the care I took of my long hair. I used to leave hair everywhere and it was a disaster after I washed it. My hair literally drained me of life. So I held on to that feeling and I told the stylist to cut it short. And you know what? It was the best thing I’ve done in years! This is my number 1 favorite in August. By the way, you can see my hair on Instagram.
