Revlon Colorstay Foundation for Normal/ Dry Skin ($9.30)
Finding a good budget-friendly foundation is tough. Finding one that has good coverage and is perfect for oily/combo skin is even harder. I first tried Revlon’s product a few years ago and I was impressed. I tend to reach for this one a lot, due to it’s creamy formula, buildable coverage and performance on my skin. While this doesn’t offer exceptional coverage, I do find it perfect for everyday activities. If you wear makeup on a daily basis and you’re looking for something that lasts well, this will definitely become your go to. I find this foundation perfect for any skin type except for dry skin as it tends to emphasize dry areas. A plus is the SPF 20 and the large variety of colors.
LʼOréal Paris True Match Super Blendable Makeup ($10.95)
LʼOréal Paris True Match Super Blendable Makeup is a medium-coverage, liquid foundation, very similar to Giorgio Armani’s Luminous Silk Foundation. Due to the large number of shades, this product really is the perfect match to every skin tone. It has a silky texture, a luminous finish and it’s easy to apply with the majority of the face makeup brushes I own. My skin type is normal to combination, but also tends to get dry. That’s why I tend to reach for this one particularly when my skin feels dry and rough, due to it’s creamy and slightly hydrating formula. While the coverage is light to medium, I find that I rarely have to apply concealer with this one.
Lioele Dollish Cera-V CC Cream ($17.93)
CC Creams have gained their prestige in the last few years and for a good reason. The Korean ones get the most appreciation due to their properties and performance. More like a CC Cream than a foundation, Lioele Dollish Cera-V CC Cream is that one product that provides care and coverage for every girl with normal to dry skin. This shade is universal, but I find that it adapts to my skin tone quickly. Another advantage is the high SPF of 34 PA++, perfect for every day of the year. It’s moisturizing properties and the impressive list of ingredients such as ceramides, vitamins and minerals really make this product valuable. It will replace your regular foundation, being weightless and comfortable, leaving you with perfect, poreless skin and a satin finish.
Personally, I find it hard to choose one favorite but the battle is definitely between Revlon’s Colorstay and L’Oréal’s True Match. The score is tight: one is mattifying and lasts really well and the other is luminous and light-reflecting which makes my skin look perfect. I think that a combination of the two is what works best for me, but all three products are wonderful for everyday wear.
