Today I thought I’d spoke about some of the beauty products that have disappointed me. I want to state right from the beginning that just because these products didn’t work on me, doesn’t mean they are bad at all. In fact, with many of these products, it seems that I’m the exception to the rule!
SVR Hydraliane BB Cream
I already spoke about this product here, so I’m not going to repeat myself. It just didn’t work for me.
Max Factor False Lash Effect
The pink version of this used to be my favorite mascara. Unfortunately, it’s been years since I’ve seen it in stores or online. I bought this one pictured thinking that it should be similar to that. My hopes got crushed quickly because is so dry and the end results is way too natural for my liking. I miss the pink version so much, it’s been my favorite mascara ever.
Benefit Roller Lash
I was looking forward to trying this super hyped product but I am so disappointed in it. The formula is okay, but it smudges so bad I just can’t wear it. This also got dry really quickly, but the formula wasn’t that wet from the beginning. I will not repurchase.
Maybelline Lash Sensational with oils
This was, probably, the biggest disappointment of them all. At first use, just those first 20 seconds of applying it for the first time, I thought “wow, this looks so much like my beloved Max Factor!”. The formula is wet enough to catch every lash, separates and lengthens. But, upon drying, I noticed that my lashes looked rather bad. Also, smudges incredibly bad and it’s almost impossible to take off. I liked the regular version better, but that ain’t my favorite either.
NYX Angel Veil Primer
I had reasonable hopes for this product, unfortunately I don’t get the hype. This did nothing for me. My makeup applied the same as without it on and lasted the same amount of time. To me, this was a waste of money.
Makeup Forever Ultra HD Powder
I think I mentioned this in one of my previous articles on a positive note, but thinking at the overall picture, I just don’t like it enough to remove it from this post. For me personally, this doesn’t do much. My makeup doesn’t last longer, doesn’t look any different than with my Rimmel loose powder, it’s just not something remarkable. I do like it for my under eyes area, applied with a damp beauty blender. It blurs everything nicely.
Milani Stay Put Brow Color in Medium Brown
The reason I hate this is that, as soon as I applied it on my eyebrows, I was put off by the strikingly brown-orangey color. This looks nothing like what a medium brown should look. The product itself was okay, not as good as Anastasia’s Brow Pomade though which is my favorite brow pomade ever.
Max Factor Creme blush
When I got this, I said to myself “I just bought the prettiest blush ever”. I actually wanted to get one from Milani, but decided this would do it. I like this blush a lot, except for the fact that it breaks me out. I just can’t use it.
