My skin changes every season so this is how I’m updating my skincare routine now that summer is over. I’m also not getting any younger so it’s time that I start incorporating more powerful anti aging ingredients! Sharing my newest beauty additions today, but including some make-up here and there just because it makes me happy.
Sesderma C-Vit Liposomal Serum
My skincare routine lacked Vitamin C which is an important ingredient in fighting the signs of aging. Sesderma’s C-Vit serum has some amazing reviews on the internet due to it’s formula with ginko biloba, stabilized Vitamin C, resveratrol and hialuronic acid. I like the texture of it and the fruity smell and the first time I used it, I woke up with luminous and silky skin like never before! The concentration of Vitamin C is, I think, 10%. The most I’ve used was 5% a few years back and my skin always reacted well to it. I however suspect this of being just a little too much for my skin right now and it might be breaking me out. I’ll have to keep an eye on this.
Aurum Africa Marula Oil
Since my skin is really dehydrated lately, I felt the need to add an oil. I’ve used Marula Oil before and it’s one of my favorite facial oils. Also high in Vitamin C, it’s one of the best anti aging natural products out there. So far I’m enjoying this product a lot. It barely has any smell, it’s easy to apply and a little goes a long way.
MAC Essential Oils
I got this to help my make-up look good throughout the day, when my skin tends to gradually loose it’s moisture. If your skin is anything like mine, then you’re familiar with oily and dehydrated skin that makes wearing make-up a pain in the a**. While this did help for a few hours, I felt that it still wasn’t enough for the entire day so I had to switch up my skincare game and add some La Roche Posay cream and Avene serum that I’m not including here because my order is on it’s way as we speak. I hope that the addition of these products will help my skin more, but MAC’s oil is, nonetheless, a lovely product. I just have to find the right method to apply and the perfect place for it in my make-up/skincare routine.
Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Intensive Lip Repair Balm
Quite a long name for such a small product! Chapped and dry lips are the story of my life. Sadly, the cold turns them into a disaster so I don’t mind paying extra for a lip balm if that means I’ll have normal lips again. This is one of those products that makes applying lip balm feel like a luxury. The texture is light and, upon application, I feel this cooling and refreshing sensation! I like this feeling and I’ve noticed that my lips feel hydrated for longer when I use this on a daily basis. I’m going to buy the stick version for my bag.
Estee Lauder Double Wear
I’ve longed to have this foundation since forever, even though I was lucky enough to try it a few years back and I never liked it! Not because it’s not a great foundation, but I always had the feeling that my breakouts back then were cause by this. The same thing happened to me with the Advanced Night Repair Serum, a product I still have a love-hate relationship with. I don’t know if that’s causing me to breakout or not! Anyway, I love everything about this foundation and I would love it even more if I finally discovered that it’s not causing me breakouts. I’ll just have to wear it and see.
Chanel Coco Mademoiselle Eau de Parfum
A perfume that needs no words, Chanel’s Coco Mademoiselle is the mother of all perfumes. Something so luxurious about this scent, that makes me feel instantly mentally better, happier. I’m so glad I bought this because I like it even more than my beloved Lancome La Vie Est Belle. I never thought I’d find anything that I’d love more than that, especially since I’ve been testing and sniffing perfumes for about 2 months now, in Sephora and Douglas. I have my eyes on Chanel Allure Sensuelle too!
