I think it’s time that I review the sunblock that I’ve been using for the past 3 months! Occasionally, I dive into the K-Beauty world, there are always so many new things to try, different than the regular or drugstore versions that we all know. For years, I’ve struggled finding a good sunscreen because this is the product I wear every single day. In the past, I found one from Kiss My Face with SPF 30 – while I did love it, I can only find it on iHerb and since they changed the terms of their shipping, I haven’t been attracted to placing orders on their site.
A’Pieu Pure Block SPF 45
This is one of the most reasonably priced sunscreens that I’ve ever tried: only 7$ on eBay. I didn’t even think I’d like it – there’s something about cheap products that never worked for me. The texture of this sunscreen is creamy but light at the same time, easy to spread. Doesn’t leave any white marks, it’s untraceable on the skin which makes it great for everyday use.
It also ticks some other personal requirements: good amount of product (50ml), doesn’t dry out my face, doesn’t break me out. Unfortunately, I recently discovered that this is not the best base for makeup. I kept seeing that my face looks dry and some of my foundations don’t apply that well and I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s this sunscreen. Of course, I added oils, creams, serums underneath it – nothing helped. For this specific reason and because I’m replacing my products with clean beauty ones, I won’t repurchase.
I’m not saying this is a bad product because it’s not. It just doesn’t really make my life easier that some other sunscreens that I’ve tried.
